Valiant Stardate 3000 Starships

These are my all-time favorite starships. I first coveted them in the 1970's, when I saw them silhoutted in the Squadron Shop catalog. I bought a few back then, and in my early gaming days, back when Starfire was a booklet, these ships and their alien counterparts formed the basis of all my Sci-Fi big space battles.

When they became unavailable in the late 80's, I sold the few that I had about 1995 (one of my first internet transactions), and morned that goof ever since. I jumped for joy when they came out again a few years ago.

I have about 100 total now, including some 55 big ships. They are fun to kitbash, particularly as they come with extra weapons, and I've recently tried my hand at scratchbuilding a few.

And if you ever wondered, HO locomotive parts form the basis for most of these ships. The top of the Federation ships' bridge, for example, is derived from a steam locomotive boiler front. How ingenious!
